Day (Unknown) - Recollections

Well. After a long break or you can say lack of discipline to blog or teacher too busy until she didn’t check my blog; I have received many reminders by my dear readers to blog!

Alright just to keep you updated with my present up-comings. First on the list, is of cause my birthday! It is so near, 4days left! Oh my, I am going to be 17th so soon. I am hoping for birthday presentZ! Shirts, pants, jeans, shoes, etc… would be good.

Secondly, I am having my Mid-year examination now. Took my Chinese and English papers week before and here I was told that I got a B3 for my Chinese. For English I am not sure, as the English is missing in action. A B3 for Chinese means I have to put in more effort right after the examination to study hard for it. The vice principal, Mr. Tan Yee Kan, came to my class personally to tell me that my target for Chinese “O” level result MUST be an Ā1! I am in stress now, how can I do that? I will try my best with your support.

Thirdly, I am feeling alone in Singapore as Dad is in Japan. He only called back once for the past weeks. It really worries me especially the news reported on Japan railway accident. There is no news from him yet, praying everyday for him to call back. Hopefully he can give me a surprise on my birthday.

Coming back, today I stayed home the whole to “Study”. Really taking studies very seriously now, I have to put in all my effort to force the knowledge into my brain. Revision must study now before is too late. Listened to many advised by my friends from my same badge they regretted of starting revising too late. They would do better if they had started earlier. Now my main worries are 1. Will I do well for “O” level? 2. Where should I go? 3. What is going to happen for my future?

These questions do not have any answer yet. Perhaps someone can advice me what to do.

Looking forward to for your positive feedback and I hope this post has satisfied your reading pleasure :-)

Yours truly,

Alexstine

Day …. Of blogging Refreshing day

Hello, after almost of week of slacking, I am back at the computer lad again to update my blog. Don’t really know why the habit of updating my blog just disappears. Can you tell me why?

Founder’s day celebration brought an official end to my position in office. I am a free man now! For the 1st time our school sang songs together in harmony. No jugging or whatsoever. That’s a good sign; our school is improving into a better studying environment for students. I guess in few years time students will feel proud to be a Lasallian, a Patrician! No more hatred of the school, teachers or any of the lousy past they had here. Last year, my friends told me not to feel proud of your school but hey! This year they told me how much they miss the school and regret of his action in the past. So my friends, if you feel the same just like my friend please change your mindset and from there on influence others on the positive attitude.

Day 5 blogging dimple boy "."

I am feeling sick today. Reported sick for PE, and then was really tired feel asleep during Chinese lesson. Thanks to my Chinese teacher he allowed me to rest when I told him how I feel. When the recess bell goes, I woke up noticing my table are filled with tons of Chinese assignment. Sat together with my group of friends in the canteen; I told them what I did during the whole two hours.

Felt exhausted after recess, I think I am having fever. Look into my bag, tried looking for my thermometer to take my temperature. Not there unfortunately, asked from permission from the teacher to wash my face. Social Studies lesson, we went through two source based questions. Xin Yuan was our target to poke at throughout the whole lesson. Just five minutes before the bell ring, the teacher says to do it as homework. Another piece of homework for the day.

English lesson, the English teacher told us about the progress of our blogs. She commented that some of our blogs are not updated. She is disappointed with some of us, as what she posted at her own blog. Then she gave us some inference worksheet for us to complete.

Chemistry lesson was a period of time I manage to get some of my personal stuff to be done. Wondering should I go to Art Friends to purchase my art materials, I asked around not many people going. So, I decided I will not go. After school, met Alfred and Ben Mao; they were busy doing their social studies presentation. For me I stayed there to give advice as usual. Once completed we went to parkway for lunch at Burger King; keeping each other entertain we said lame jokes. Gosh! Some of the stuff we said is really ‘cold’.

Is this fate or what both brothers call me one after another? Bro. Edward called me to invite me over to St. Stephen (My primary school) for the founder’s day interview. Follow by Bro. Jeffery asking me about the barbeque on Friday. Took the same bus home with Ben Mao we suggested to study elective history together. Yep! Got someone to study with, maybe I will ask Alfred to join in.

Counting down to ‘O’ level Chinese 55days left!

Day 4 of my blogging…

Boring. Slack. Lazy. This will be how I descript my day in school. As usual again I was “on time” for school. Brother Nicholas led the school to pray for the departed Pope John Paul II. Then as a mark of respect from the catholic school like us, we raise half school flag.

Went back to class for English Lesson have something like dictation. I hated it! I never like it since Primary school. Maybe I am not the type of person that can listen and write at the same time. Definitely I will miss out some words in the sentence I wrote. Is this a kind of sickness, Dyslexic or disadvantage over others?

The bell rang, went for art lesson. Again, the teacher commented my work sketchy. Like what I always ask her what is NOT sketchy, she didn’t give me a convincing reply. All the time she will spend her attention to other students. Is it fair for me? Or am I attention seeking? I told myself if she really has something going against me, then I have to out source for help.

Next, Chemistry practical had a practical test. The turn out was I started playing with those chemical. Imagining I was a scientist. That is only an imagination! At the end of the lesson I got the feeling of running back to class. Just like to do crazy things and be myself. I think that is my character. During Maths lesson, nothing much to comment. CME lesson was the slackest lesson of the day. My friend styles my hair while my other friend took pictures of me. Haha! That was so crazy. I can’t believe I did those kinds of things in class. Really enjoy being myself; falling in love for myself!

After school, attended the peer support interview; my task was to speak the sec 2s about the new challenge they are going to take up in becoming a PSL. Then went to meet my “brother” since primary school; we had a long chat until he got to pick up his girl friend at SGX centre.

Lastly, came home had dinner with my family.

Day 3 of Blogging...

Today came home later around 10.30pm. Founder’s Day rehearsal ended early as I thought of; perhaps it was not really planned of what we should really get to do. Plus our our spiritual adviser, our HOD of PCCG Brother Nicholas wasn’t present at the rehearsal. After the rehearsal I was called to stay behind to carry out the planning of the founder’s day celebration. Time passes quickly, working on my laptop for just while was 6pm. Our concentrations were being disturbed by the noise created by the friendly scout at the parade square. Playing their “Music” which none of the people in the staff room really appreciate it, therefore in order to cover for that horror piece of music, we played lots of nice songs from my whole itunes library.

Around 7pm, I got so boring with what I was doing, I decided to take a break instate. I went down to join in the fun with scouts from difference schools. Guess what? When the SJI Pelakol (Sorry it I spell the troop name wrongly) saw me, they waved and greeted me like how they always do. Feeling so bad, cause I can’t remember their. Maybe I should start on a Relationship Bank Account for everyone, that way I will not forget people’s name so easily. After which, I met Mr. Charles, a teacher presently from SJI and previously from all the Lasallian primary schools. We were glad to see each other again after Camp La Salle. People call us the “Dream team”. Don’t ask me why? Reason is I don’t know why. Both of us chatted for a short while, and then my inspiration called me back to work again. It was fastidious to have a conversation with him after all.

Got back to the work room, Brother Nicholas and Mr. Timothy Goh joined us in the room for some discussion. Until the point when my stomach gave me a call, report to me that he is hungry. Everyone knows this quote ‘a hungry man is an angry man’. We immediately went out for dinner at nearby coffee shop. Brother gave me a treat, I felt bad as he is poor having only $150 per month. Can you believe it? Following he drove me home.

Yea. That is it. There is nothing much to add on for the blog. So good day!

Day 2 of blogging…

Can’t for founder’s day to arrive, my juniors that I have spend most of time with is going to take over. This will mark the official end of my duty. Is it really the end? I asked myself for months. Well it maybe the end of the official position but it is the new beginning of my new duty. Working closely together with the Brothers and the newly formed Singapore Lasallian Youth Commission, we are trying to get all the past and present Lasallians together to serve the school and most importantly the community. Not forgetting the poor that our founder, De La Salle, taught us.

Few weeks ago we received a new order by the PARC office that we are supposed to organize the 8th ASIA-PACIFIC LASALLIAN YOUTH CONGRESS, SINGAPORE. Wow! This will be one of the most challenging tasks for us. We are new and young; we need the help of YOU; to make our dream into a reality.

“We got lots good things to do but we need good people to do it! Are you the one?” Quoted from De La Salle
